Slide incident
Having a three year old, like having an adorable bear cub in a fine crystal shop, can be quite unnerving. There's also nothing quite like that feeling when you turn away from them for a split second and turn back to see them begin to fall backward off the top of a ten foot tall slide. Everything is in slow motion, you reach for them but deep down you know there's nothing you can do... but scream and hope there's a nice soft bed of freshly raked fall leaves down below. That's exactly what happened today to my son, and yes, there was a cushion of leaves which broke his head-first fall. He's alright, only got a tiny bruise on his knee. We're very lucky this time....

It's gettin' chilly...
Winter is just right around the corner, I don't remember it's being this cold at this time last year. If we're lucky enough, we might get some snow, yeah!!! Anyway, no matter how cold it is, ice cream is still the best treat in the world. My son was a really good boy today, so I rewarded him with an ice cream cone. He started to dance and made so many happy faces that I had to keep shooting. I especially love this one expression of him feeling so heavenly holding his ice cream cone. I wonder what other kids look like when they're eating ice cream. If you guys have any happy moment pix of your kids with ice cream, it'll be fun to share them with us, don't you think!

Self Portrait Tuesday!
It's been years since I did my self-portrait, the last time was probably for an art project in school. Well, who'll have all the time in the world to draw or take a shot of yourself everyday when you're in this so-called "real world", unless you're a supermodel or a hard core artist. The theme is identity.
I wanted to be so many things when I was young, but now I love who I am and who I've become. I don't have any deep words to describe my thoughts, so let the pix does it job.

Balloon artist
Well, my son had his little 3rd B-day party last week and it was short and sweet. He wouldn't let us take down the decoration yet, but he broke most of the balloons. For a 3-year-old, nothing could be more fun than stepping and jumping on the balloon to make a loud noise, right! He actually spared one to do his masterpiece on it though. Last night he was so quiet drawing on his balloon...and then came back to be himself, an energetic ball, after he's done. So of course, being a proud mama, I just have to post his art piece up to show the world! That's what parents do, right! Can't wait to see what he'll do next....

20 random things about myself
How fun it is to be in the art blog community, it's only my second day here and there're already tons of stuff to do and look around. There're so many artists out there in the world, it'll take all my life to view every blog. Well, Tricia asked me to list 20 things about myself today, what a great idea! So are you ready?....here we go....
1. I was born in Los Angeles but grew up in Bangkok, Thailand.
2. Green is my favorite color.
3. I have a dream to become a Marine Biologist, but I'm too lazy to go through all the hard classes.
4. Halloween is the greatest holiday of the year.
5. I don't have a cell phone for over a year now and I don't miss it at all.
6. Geckos really freak me out.
7. I love spending time alone, peace and quiet.
8. I turned down a chance to be a movie star a few times in Thailand.
9. I love rain...(I guess that's why I'm in Portland!)
10. I used to wear 7 silver rings and 2 silver necklaces at the same time in my teen years.
11. I don't like to go to the zoo, it makes me sad to see the animals there.
12. Narwhal is an amazing animal to me, I'd love to see them at least once in my life time.
13. Thai food is my favorite food in the whole world...and Sushi comes second!
14. Giving birth was my most fear than death, though I had a natural birth without any drugs.
15. I just knew what true love was all about when I first saw my son's face.
16. I love to play Sudoku Puzzles.
17. I had an ulcer when I was 8 until 17 years old.
