IF - pattern
Hello Illustration Friday, I'm back! It's funny I decided to check IF today (after a year) and saw 'pattern' as this week's topic. It's just exactly what I'm interested in right now. I'd love to create some crazy fabric patterns someday (when I learn how.) So here is one of my favorite patterns I recently created. It has my favorite color and animal on it. I call it 'Bunny Wood'.

Card holder on Etsy, finally!
I've thought for a long time if I should list card holder
on etsy or not...as well as my aprons... Since I particularly set this shop up for stationery and graphic design services only, it seems too weird to have other things rather than paper goods on there. Oh well, it's an experiment because my sales have gone down for the last two years (I also kinda ignored it.) I finally try to maintain my shop again with new banner and new products. Hopefully, my efforts will make Sweet Bonny shop take off before the end of the year. Wish me luck, guys :)

Work in process!
An apron to be sewn, card holders to be done and windows to be scratched. I still have a few more projects I want to do but I need these done before I can start anything else. (Don't forget about house to be cleaned, food to be cooked, plants to be watered, laundry and dishes to be washed and what else?!?!?)

Presents of Mind Shop
I'm excited to announce that Presents of Mind
shop on Hawthorne will be carried my stuff pretty soon. This is the best gift shop in Portland, you can find so many local arts and crafts from stationery to jewelry. I always get lost in there. If you ever come visit Portland, don't forget to go to Presents of Mind. ;)

Design a Sock Contest!!!!
I love love love Sock It To Me socks, they are the cutest. Carrie (owner) hired me and two other freelancers to design socks in 2006 and she picked these designs from me; peace and love and broken heart. I'm excited every time I see them in the stores.
Anyway, this is the third year they're having an annual contest (somehow I just found out this year.) Too bad, you can only be Portland residents to enter, blog here. Though don't feel bad, they also have an on going design a sock contest here. Check out their website and you will fall in love with those knee highs socks too :)

recipe cards
I have this chef image for personalized notecards since I started etsy shop in '06. She's doing well only the first year and I never used her again. Today I brought her back to life but in other form. She seems to be doing alright so far, people recognize her. All I need is better pictures... Anyway, you can purchase it here.

Sexy Aprons
Here's another project I've started last month, reversible aprons. Don't you just love those prints? I'm trying not to make the same pattern twice. Eight of them are sewn, two are sold, 3 are gifts, 1 is for myself, only 2 left for sale. You can purchase one of them here

Our lil' Chef!
Kaya can be a great helper in the kitchen (when he wants to, of course.) No matter what, he will only get better and better with cooking skills. I don't have to worry about him when he goes to college, he will definitely be able to feed himself and his friends. Anyway, I just love all of his pictures in the kitchen...look so natural :)

Window Art!
Fun time yesterday!
Belmont St. Fair went well yesterday, even though I was in a bad spot. Hopefully next year I would be on the blocks again. Anyway, I can't wait 'til next Sat. for Skating with Scissors Craft Bazaar from 11am-7pm at Oaks Park Hangar in Sellwood. I don't really expect anything much since it's only their first year doing this. Crowd will also be different, so who know... it could be good or bad. My next project is to print 2010 calendar. I sold out last year and hoping for the same.

Belmont St. Fair tomorrow
It's my third year and I'm so excited to be there. Though this time I won't be on the blocks but in the parking lot, hopefully I would do as good as outside. Check out their site here
I also have been working on card holders using recycled and new fabrics. It hasn't really take off at the fair, but I'm pretty sure by next month, it will.
