An apron to be sewn, card holders to be done and windows to be scratched. I still have a few more projects I want to do but I need these done before I can start anything else. (Don't forget about house to be cleaned, food to be cooked, plants to be watered, laundry and dishes to be washed and what else?!?!?)

Presents of Mind Shop

I'm excited to announce that Presents of Mind
shop on Hawthorne will be carried my stuff pretty soon. This is the best gift shop in Portland, you can find so many local arts and crafts from stationery to jewelry. I always get lost in there. If you ever come visit Portland, don't forget to go to Presents of Mind. ;)

Design a Sock Contest!!!!

I love love love Sock It To Me socks, they are the cutest. Carrie (owner) hired me and two other freelancers to design socks in 2006 and she picked these designs from me; peace and love and broken heart. I'm excited every time I see them in the stores.

Anyway, this is the third year they're having an annual contest (somehow I just found out this year.) Too bad, you can only be Portland residents to enter, blog here. Though don't feel bad, they also have an on going design a sock contest here. Check out their website and you will fall in love with those knee highs socks too :)

2010 calendar is here!

It's here! Announcing mini 2010 calendar. You can purchase one of your own here

recipe cards

I have this chef image for personalized notecards since I started etsy shop in '06. She's doing well only the first year and I never used her again. Today I brought her back to life but in other form. She seems to be doing alright so far, people recognize her. All I need is better pictures... Anyway, you can purchase it here.

Sexy Aprons

Here's another project I've started last month, reversible aprons. Don't you just love those prints? I'm trying not to make the same pattern twice. Eight of them are sewn, two are sold, 3 are gifts, 1 is for myself, only 2 left for sale. You can purchase one of them here

Our lil' Chef!

Kaya can be a great helper in the kitchen (when he wants to, of course.) No matter what, he will only get better and better with cooking skills. I don't have to worry about him when he goes to college, he will definitely be able to feed himself and his friends. Anyway, I just love all of his pictures in the kitchen...look so natural :)

Window Art!

Here's something I've been working on this Summer. I have about 10 more windows waiting for me in the garage.... If only I'll have all the time in the world. My next one will be Hawthorne bridge again... people love it :)

Fun time yesterday!

Belmont St. Fair went well yesterday, even though I was in a bad spot. Hopefully next year I would be on the blocks again. Anyway, I can't wait 'til next Sat. for Skating with Scissors Craft Bazaar from 11am-7pm at Oaks Park Hangar in Sellwood. I don't really expect anything much since it's only their first year doing this. Crowd will also be different, so who know... it could be good or bad. My next project is to print 2010 calendar. I sold out last year and hoping for the same.

Belmont St. Fair tomorrow

It's my third year and I'm so excited to be there. Though this time I won't be on the blocks but in the parking lot, hopefully I would do as good as outside. Check out their site here

I also have been working on card holders using recycled and new fabrics. It hasn't really take off at the fair, but I'm pretty sure by next month, it will.

Apron for Kaya, finally

I had this idea of making an apron for Kaya for awhile now. Finally, I started and finished it today. It's a double sided apron made from some random fabrics I found from thrift store. He loves it, but I will make it better next time.

Bootylicious Snowman

It's been 9 days already and we still have tons of snow everywhere. It hasn't snowed this much since 1968, looks like we're gonna beat a record this year since we're gonna have another snow storm tomorrow. Well, we just keeping busy and try not to get cabin fever by staying outside the house and enjoy this cold weather. We just build a snowman this morning and thought it's a good idea to give him some booty. Kaya didn't think it was a good idea at first but later he was into it. :P I also made him a friend, snow bunny, next to him. Hopefully the bunny wouldn't get too hungry and eat his nose ;)

My half brother,Shane, and his wife, Heather, just had a baby girl last month in Germany. Her name is Gwendolyn. Kaya is so excited to have a new cousin, he made her a birdie doll and drew on a baby onesie. I embroidered her a cute elephant with a heart. I'm sending them all out today. Can't wait to her pictures :)

Wonderland in P-town

Wowee, what a week! It's been snowing off and on since last Sunday. It's so not like P-town I used to know... Is it global warming? Anyway, there's about a foot of snow out side with an inch thick of ice on top, very crunchy when you walked on top. Kaya had fun stepping on it and yeah me too. though coming back in the house to see the wallpaper on my laptop, i just wanted to go back to a nice sunny beach in PV again....

New order for the holidays!

A girl I did cards for 2 years ago just contacted me back wanting to order new set of cards. She wanted something for the holidays with her cute dog Riley. And here what it looks like. I hope Kinko's would open tomorrow, since it's been snowing all day today. I need to finish the cards by Monday...

Let it snow....

It snowed so early this year, which was rare for p-town. It just happened to come down on the biggest craft show I had ever this year, so not many people showed up for the event. I was so disappointed (so as many other vendors), but I still have one more chance this coming Saturday. Anyway, while I was at the craft show, Kaya and his dad went boarding with the neighbosr at sellwood park. It's the first time for Kaya to be on the board and he did amazingly well. We're planning to go to Mt. Hood this winter for sure. Can't wait to see him riding again!

Puerto Vallarta

what a great time we had. we went into a jungle, swam in a river pool, watched sea turtle laying eggs, camped on the beach, climbed coconut tree, walked in a pilgrim parade with the locals, took a boat ride to watch whales and sunset, ate the best gourmet food and street food in town and i can't thanks my beautiful cousin enough for everything. kaya had to write journal for his class, and it's probably the best journal a 6-year-old could have. we're just lucky to have my cousin there who is really well known and has the best people connection of them all. (it's awesome to see both poor and rich world)
